A shorter hair style is always good for making you look younger. Especially if it allows the hair to bounce, can give you a perky energized look.

Thin hair looks good with it all cut evenly straight across just below level of the chin, then as you move your head, the hair swishes around it.

Thicker hair is harder, because it there is so much, it's hard for it to bounce well. So a layered short cut is better, kept closer to and around the face.
