okay, i have a friend like this and she does a very bad job of styling her hair AHHH! becuase all she uses is a leave in conditioner, and then she blow drys her hair on like a high setting and it isnt even a diffuser

even though i have straight hair, i use a shine serum and its supposed to straighten it out a bit so maybe if you use that it will add shine ANd tame your hair into being a bit more relaxed?

i think braiding curly hair is really cute so maybe do that but leave a few pieces out in the front (if you have layers) but not a lot so its a bit softer looking.

you can definately pull of the "i just threw up my hair look" HAHAHA not like vomit, but the quick messy bun thing

if your hair were a little bit longer i would suggest a cotton head band that goes all the way around. but since your hair is only shoulder length a thin little plastic one or thicker little ones (cardboard? lol i dont know what they are made out of) and you already have the volume at your crown so you are good to go

one time my friend did little twists from her forehead to the top all across and it was cute.

how about a side pony tail (i only think those look good with curly hair) and then keep a little bit of bang out. If you dont have bangs then create texture on your scalp so it isnt as slicked back.
